UPDATE!!!! This facility (office staff included) has moved and uses the name "Johnson Family Medicine" now!!!

Firstly, the number on the website is wrong

After changing primary care physician's, Bill received an appointment with a specialist the day of his very first appointment! He is now able to get the surgery he needs scheduled for some much needed relief. His suffering could have ended over 3 months ago had the office staff done what they should have instead of purposely making him suffer as they did. If an appointment with a specialist was that easy to obtain, why did my husband suffer for 2 months? Well actually 3 months with the primary care physician change. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

Secondly, whomever answers the phone come across very rude.

Stacey and her staff always go above and beyond for my family and myself. She is very knowledgeable and is fantastic explaining things to you. I could not ask for a better doctor.

but I overlooked that and thought, things happen

Just a suggestion

This medical facility has the most unprofessional office staff I have ever dealt with. They obviously do not care about their patient's well-being at all! After calling to find out how I go about getting the pneumonia shot my doctor recommended a few times, I received a certified letter stating that my doctor could no longer be my primary care doctor. When I called to inquire, I was told that I was too argumentative when I called concerning my pneumonia shot. I was never argumentative nor unfriendly to the staff. After meeting with Sheila concerning this, she discovered I was never given the prescription I needed for the shot & since it was their mistake, I could continue to see Sheila. Walked out with a prescription and got my shot that day after 3 months of no answers. Sheila was never even aware they had sent the letter! Recently, my husband threw his back out. After his MRI that showed 3 bulging discs, Sheila ordered he be seen by a specialist. That was well over a month ago. I watched Sheila type into his chart where to send him and that it be done ASAP! After 2 weeks of waiting, we finally received a call from a specialist in Knoxville, that turns out does not accept our insurance and wasn't the place Sheila ordered he go in the first place. After a few phone calls to let them know the place they sent us to didn't accept our insurance & a request to go where Sheila originally wanted to send him, we were told. "they are working on it." After another 2 weeks, my husband stopped in there with the right information for them to send us to that is covered by insurance. He was told my information was wrong & given the Knoxville numbers again! I sent him back in there to tell them for a 3rd time that place does not accept our insurance, can you please send us to the place that does. That was over 2 weeks ago with not a word from anyone. In the meantime, my husband has been to the ER 3 times and has missed a significant amount of work due to this condition and now our very livelihood is in jeopardy. Other patients have stated that they have overheard the office staff bashing and making fun of patients while waiting for their appointment. I have been told if the office staff doesn't like you, they will make you wait for an hour or more for your appt because they dont even let the doctor know you are there. Sheila Blalock is a wonderful doctor, it's too bad it is the office staff that runs the show. When they called in a prescription for me once that I wasn't aware of, I called to inquire and asked if I should continue taking the supplement with the prescription, the office staff told me no, only to find out that Sheila would have kept me on it because my numbers were so low. How are they qualified to make calls like that concerning patient care? I believe they have been purposely dragging their feet on my husband's referral because they don't like me much. In the meantime, he has been suffering and now our family is suffering from lack of income. What gives them the right to mess with someone's livelihood like this? Since it is apparent, they could care less how much pain their patient is in, I have chosen to move my family to another facility. Good luck to anyone who uses this facility and gets on the office staff's bad side!

She asked a few questions like which doctor, DOB, who was your former doctor and name only to say abruptly that no new patients were being accepted. I'm pretty sure all the other stuff could've been avoided by simply asking. Are you a new patient and then following up by saying, I'm sorry, we aren't accepting new patients at this time. It sounds much more professional and courteous.
