Staff was rude and did not like the way my brother looked . He was not cleaned very well ,the funeral was not very well organized by the staff .Would not recommend to anyone.
Our father died in July 2016 and our mother Dec 2016. We used Crossville Memorial Funeral Home for both of their cremations. We cannot say with either time, that the workers of Crossville Memorial handled business professionally. When our father died in July, the workers left a bad taste in our family's mouths. Our mother had just loss her husband of over thirty years and the lady doing the paperwork treated the situation as just some paperwork that needed to be done versus being understanding and consoling (for instance not having some specific documentation and be made to feel lesser for not having such documentation). When it came to the payment piece, the family did not have the upfront payment within full. The staff acted as if this was a dire sin. Eventually she worked with our mother in setting up some payments. Then when my mother passed, I got to deal with her personally. Again, she treated it as a business transaction and never attempted to understand the family. When showing up for our appointment, my sister and I showed up a little early. She then told us that we are early and she has not had time to 'apply her makeup'. She never shook our hands nor stated anything around the lines of 'sorry for your loss'. She told us the death certificates would be mail out within two days. Everything else that my sister and I had to care for was put to a standstill as the death certificates were needed in reference to our mother. Two weeks later, the death certificates had still not arrived. I called and she had to search for our mother's file as she had put it in the 'things I need to take care of pile' as she called it. She stated she would go by the bank and attorney office and drop death certificates off as we do not live in the area anymore. As well, she had to email me a form to sign dated for the original date of the meeting as she obviously had forgotten to get a signature. A few days later, my sister called to only be told that they still have not been dropped off or mailed out. I cannot say that I would recommend this agency to anyone as the leadership at the face to face contact level is not to standards of being professional and understanding should be.
