This year, I asked to be their first appointment of the day, thinking this would keep them from running behind. WRONG! About 30 minutes after they were supposed to be here, they called to tell me it would be another couple of hours before they showed up because the job they were on was running longer than expected. When I mentioned I thought I had scheduled the first job of the day, the owner rudely informed me that I had not. When I said I had to go to work and couldn't be here later in the day, he rudely told me to "go find someone else."
Sayonara Fireplaces Direct! If you don't start treating your customers better, they're all going to find someone else. You're gonna have to change your ways now that you're not the only game in town.
This place is totally unreliable. Last year, I had a 9am appointment so I took the morning off work. They called me about an hour after they were supposed to be here to tell me they were running behind and they'd arrive in a couple of hours. A couple of hours later, they called again with another delay. Long story short... after taking off the entire day, they never showed up. Although I called several times over the next 3 weeks, they never called me back.
So, why did I make an appointment with them again this year? Well, 5 years ago when I first moved here, they were the only ones in town.
I highly recommend them. Terry and his helper were very professional! Taught us a lot about our Earthstove. They were very clean. (We have very light carpet in our house) the price for our cleaning was very affordable. A big thankyou from the Corrie household.
So I did! Yes, things sure have changed in the last 5 years. Now there is another option... and it turns out they are extremely reliable (and friendly) and they did a great job.
