The best thing about hunting at this lodge is that it’s real hunting. Most lodges will set you up in front of where they feed the animals and there is absolutely no challenge for actual hunting. The Loshbough family owns quite a bit of acreage so that really helps and the land is beautiful. I really enjoyed the guide that was with us too. He was a really nice guy, knowledgeable of his trade and very efficient. Honestly, the best experience I’ve had at a hunting lodge.
The lodge is beautiful, the rock house is rustic (and I love it) and the property is absolutely gorgeous.
The staff is the friendliest you'll find anywhere, from the front office, to Rick the owner and Roger, their expert guide. Everyone there absolutely makes you feel like you're at home and part of the family.
This was my third trip to Loshbough. The first year we loved it so much we brought six friends with us the following year. This year we brought nine and next year is only going to be bigger.
As a final note, if you have never had freshly killed wild pig, you have no idea what pork really tastes like. There is nothing like firing up the grill on Sunday evening and feasting on the kill you made that morning.
I was very pleased with the 250 boar I took this year, though it seems rather small compared to the 700 pounder one of my friends brought down.
We had a great experience at Loshbough. I had feared this would be a "canned" hunt but the property is large enough to really present a challenge. The facilities are hunting camp grade but that's what we were looking for. Our guide Roger was the man. There were four of us each wanting to hunt using a different technique (spot and stalk, spear, stand hunting) and Roger made it happen with no problem. We each got good sized hogs and had a great time. They have a meat processor that was able to deliver our vacuum sealed bags within a few hours. Would highly recommend especially for the price.
Brought my 2 grandsons, 14 yr old and 16 yr old for wild boar hunt. Susie in the office was great to deal with and Roger was our guide, he was the best. Both boys got a nice Boar, would highly recommend Loschbough Hunting Lodge. The complete experience was the best. Will be back next year.
This was my first trip to Loshbough . I give the place A++ scores for everything. I've never hunted hogs before and our guide (Roger) did an excellent job of showing us how. There were four of us, and we all got nice hogs, and brought home lots of meat. The entire staff is friendly and will help you with any questions. Overall, we had a great experience hunting, and the lodge was outstanding. Full kitchen, plenty of room, and Satellite TV. This place is HIGHLY recommended !!!!
Half of us are archers, half hunt with a rifle, but in either case Roger had no trouble accommodating us and I cannot emphasize enough how much he and all the folks there feel more like family than anything.
