My husband and I had actually booked a campsite on the gulf of Alabama but Tropical Storm Cindy changed that! So I went online and spotted Ballyhoo Campground just south of Crossville TN. We still got rain, but found the best campground we have found! Owners are very nice and the grounds are well kept. It's a small place but perfect for peace and quiet, fishing and relaxing! The fishing is catch and release but was great fishing trip too! And close to everything you may need! We loved it and will be back! We don't mind we missed the beach this trip was a great vacation after all! Thank you Ballyhoo!

Go to Davey Crockett. They're $90 cheaper with, no exaggeration, 5 times the amenities. This place is a RIP OFF. Think twice before booking. Google Davey Crockett Campground. The place sells itself. Not an affiliate of DC campground, just experienced RV long-termer. Plus these people are rude as hell.

We stayed at Ballyhoo for the eclipse & loved it! It's a little family-owned affair (they're very kind), but the facilities are really nice. Bathrooms were clean & noise level was fine even though the campground was full! Plenty of both open grass space & shady sites, not really any trails though.

A small note that sadly, the owners are biased against pit bulls & other stereotypically "aggressive" dogs. They might not let you bring yours.

Very nice here off the road so no traffic noise a lot of space between RV s

Our friends were staying there. Went to look at campground. Lady in Golf cart came by. Did not greet us. Said it was $5.00 a day to visit our friends. We were only there about 10 min. Don't think we want to camp there.
