It was wonderful. Everyone was great in helping us, giving information of places go, thins to see. We had a perfect cabin for us, clean, and the bathrooms were clean. We loved that thy were individual, and not a long building that you would share with many others at the same time. We each would difinately return for another stay if we were in the area again at any time. It was beautiful there.
Campground is very nice with level concrete pads. TV cable was out and antenna choices were very few. As a matter of fact we could only get one channel clearly.
We got escorted to our site. Was told that the site was not level and offered to get boards to help level our camper. Beautiful scenery. Lacking a few items in store.
The spaces are level and have plenty of room between them. The sewage are in the middle of the site so you will need an extra long hose if your connection is near the rear of your travel trailer.
Sometime last month I made reservation for Sept 1, 2, 3, 4 and put total amount owed on my credit card. Last Wednesday night, August 30, I listened to two weather reports for Friday, Sept. 1. I heard them say there was an Alert out on a Tropical Storm from Hurricane Harvey that was going to bring heavy rain and possible tornados to North Carolina and Tennessee. This was the first time I realized that the weather was going to be this bad. The first thing Thursday morning I called KOA Crossville about my reservation. I explained that it would not be safe for me to attempt to drive from Albemarle NC to Crossville Tenn. in this bad of weather. I am a 64 year woman driving a truck and camper by myself. I was hoping to reschedule for another weekend. I told the lady I would have to check with my sister for which weekend she was free. It seemed that the lady was working with me. She was quite pleasant and told me there was going to be a $10 charge. I had no problem with this. Then I heard a man's voice in the background. Seems they have a two day cancellation policy and I lost the whole amount I had put on the card originally. I repeated to her that it was not safe for me to make this drive. Didn't matter.
