Thank you all at Fitzgerald! FYI. The truck runs awesome.......has plenty of power........gets amazing fuel mileage.......13.1 mpg bobtailing at 65 mph. 10.5 mpg and an empty dry Van 9.3mpg with a load around 6500lbs and it got 6.6mpg hauling 77660lbs from southern VA to PA........so my final conclusion.........the Truck and Fitzgerald get a 5 out of 5 stars for excellence!
I had a very good experience dealing with Fitzgerald.......my first phone call was to Justin and he became my go to guy. Justin was an awesome guy to deal with and wasn't your typical pushy salesman! We talked about different trucks and different combinations of Engine/Transmission and the different accessories available.........he hooked me up with the finance department and I was able to get my truck financed with $0 down and also had many other finance options......the finance team also worked seamlessly with my insurance company to make sure everything was in order for financing the Truck. Them Justin hooked me up with the accessory department to add things to the truck and also included that into the financing as well.......everything was done over the phone, email, text, UPS or fax.......it couldn't have been any easier! Keep in mind that I live in PA and they are in TN....... I ended up purchasing a 2016 Peterbilt 579 with Fitzgerald in house Detroit 60 with a 13spd Eaton Trans. I bought a 2016 because it is identical to a 2017 and I saved $2500 doing so........I made arrangements to pickup my truck on 10/02/17. That is when I met Brandon......he introduced me to my new truck and spent about an hour with me making sure I understood all the switches, buttons and how everything worked......also made sure the truck was how I ordered it and if it was to my liking! All the paperwork to sign was there and ready. Took about 10 minutes to complete all necessary paperwork. SIMPLE! Every little detail was covered. The will even paint your engine whatever color you choose! I want to thank Justin and everyone at Fitzgerald Glider Kits in Crossville, TN for making this usually painful experience a very easy and pleasant experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a great truck at a great price and a wondering buying experience!
