I've not been in a Cracker Barrell that I didn't like. Even the Cracker Barrell right before you get into Key West..The food is always Awesome, place is clean and staff is friendly. Also appreciate that they don't have TVs.....
As always the food was wonderful! The service not so good. We, a party of four, we're seated in good time but after we we're seated and our orders taken we waited for at least 35-45 minutes. Seem our order was not sent to the grill or that's what the waitress told us. We may have had to wait even longer but had to ask another server to find our waitress since she had not checked in on us after getting our drinks. That's the reason for the 3 rating.
Great place to eat! It's hard to find somewhere I enjoy sitting down to eat right now as I am not well. Also got to shop. Something I haven't done in a while! Thoroughly enjoyed this visit.
I don't know why I continue to visit this Cracker Barrel when the food continues to disappoint me. This time I ordered chicken livers with okra and slaw. The livers were so thin that my companion asked if they scraped up road kill. Something must have shown on my face when they set them on the table because the server told me they were making me more. The fried okra was rubbery like it had set on the heat table for a bit. The slaw was good. Once again just a mediocre meal. I will remember to now only get chicken livers at KFC where you get twice as much for same price.
The country fried steak and vegetable soup was delicious. I have always like the croutons. The service was exceptional as always.
