My wife and I have been there twice in the last couple weeks and the basic food groups, meatloaf and chicken over rice were very good and came hot. I went back for the prime rib last Saturday night and I wouldn't go back for that. I asked for it rare and it wasn't and it was a fairly thin, tough, rolling up at the edges piece of meat. The baked potato was good and hot, but no sour cream and only a couple pat's of butter was offered with it. In the future I would just stick with ordering from their everyday menu.
My wife and I ate here while visiting in the area. It may not look like much but it is so good. My wife had chicken and dressing and it was a a very large portion. I had prime rib and it could only have been better if I had some horseradish to go with it. We also ordered fried pickles as an appetizer they were great and again the peon was very generous.
Really good food. More like home cooking.
Country cooking in a cozy environment. Great staff great service and delicious food.
Rating is 3.5 stars. My Beef Tips were good. My wife's Salisbury Steak was marginal. They make fries in the same oil that they fry the Corn nuggets, which gave thr fries an off flavor. I'll probably go back to try a Hamburger and see how it is.
