Everything we ordered was perfection. Service very good and nice ambience
Had the Trio today: house salad, house sandwich, and lentil soup. Yum. Fresh and home made ingredients. Flourless chocolate cake for dessert was fabulous.
Perhaps one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. I arrived at 6:30. The hostess was there while I was looking at the specials board. When I finished she was gone. I went to the back by the kitchen and she talking with the other staff. I asked for a table and was seated by the bar. Then one of the bartenders came to the bar and literally slammed a bag of ice on the floor over 5 times, the floor shook. Then came the sound of dishes and glasses being tossed about. When I if he could take it easy back there, he thought I was joking. I ordered the Spinart. Panini, no mozzarella. It was supposed to be a ham, brie, and spinach panini. No brie. Took a few bites and left in disgust. I could only recommend this place to my ex wife.
It's an unassuming place so you don't expect the good stuff you get. No bar; beer and wine only. It's convenient to the state park, but far enough from Crossville that it doesn't come to mind. But plenty of residents know it. Reservations, especially Saturday night, don't hurt a thing.
We were really excited about trying this place out and were really looking forward to it. We got vegetarian sandwiches. They were terrible. There was a sprinkling of cheese between mountains of slightly fried, but nearly raw onions and a few slices of squash. I've had a lot of things passed off as a vegetarian meal at restaurants, but this was the worst. We got it to go and they put a handful of kettle chips in the box between the halves of heated sandwich, causing them to be soggy. We probably won't try this place again and it's unfortunate, because it's the most convenient restaurant to the park we frequent to kayak.
Visiting from Florida. Took our daughter there for her birthday . Great place for special occasion or date night.
